Introduction to Java 3
Each of the operating systems mentioned above (and many others not mentioned) uses C++, but each uses it in a different way. This means that anytime you hop between platforms you have to rewrite the program and recompile it using a compiler specific to the environment you wish to run on. Sound complex? It is.
